Denim Day 2018

On Wednesday, April 25, join the Denim Day movement!

Denim Day is an international protest responding to the Italian Supreme Court’s overruling of a rape conviction in the 1990’s. Although the assailant had been found guilty at the trial, the Supreme Court argued that because jeans are difficult to remove, the assailant couldn’t have done so without the help of the victim.

To honor victims of sexual assault, wear jeans on Wednesday, April 25, to promote discussion of the misconceptions that surround sexual violence. Be sure to take a group photo, share on social media using the hashtag #DenimDay, and tag the Victim Service Center @VSCFlorida.
